When hemp is ingested it tends to have low bioavailability, meaning that the amount of hemp that ends up in your bloodstream is lower than the amount you have taken. One way to increase the bioavailability of hemp is to blend it with something that our bodies can very easily absorb and use immediately. One feature of MCT Oil is that our body is able to metabolize it rapidly, using it up as energy rather than storing it as fat. This unique attribute allows it to bypass the regular digestive process, and is absorbed directly into the bloodstream.
Finding the right dosage is a personal process, since everyone’s body and needs are different. We always recommend starting low and going slow. For our tincture, each serving (1ml) contains 50mg of hemp. Many people start with half a dropper (about 25mg) once or twice a day, then adjust up or down after a few days based on how they feel.
It’s a good idea to keep track of your dosage and how you feel each day. If you’re new to hemp extracts, consistency is key—try to take it at the same time each day for best results.

The hemp plant is one of the best phytoremediators on the planet. That’s a fancy way of saying that whatever toxins, pesticides, and heavy metals are present in the soil can be readily drawn up through the roots and into the vascular system of the hemp plant. And once the hemp plants are processed into hemp oil, those toxins can end up in your hemp tincture. Therefore, it is important to look for the USDA certified organic seal on any full-spectrum hemp oil products that you purchase, as the seal assures that the hemp plants were grown on farms that do not contain harmful toxins in the soil. Store hemp tinctures in a cupboard, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Keep the bottle closed tightly when not in use to reduce exposure to air and avoid contaminants.
We choose Vermont grown hemp for many reasons. First and foremost, we know the farmers, we’ve worked the field with them, we trust the integrity of their methods and we know they will be the best stewards for the hemp genetics we have developed. We partner with farmers who have achieved USDA Organic certification, ensuring the hemp we concentrate into oil is free of pesticides and toxic fertilizers. By supporting our local economy, we help build stability and longevity for the hemp market in our home state, in turn securing a local supply chain and reducing the cost of production.
Yes, the TSA allows for hemp products that are derived from hemp and contain no more than 0.3% D9. As an extra cautionary step, consider printing out a product’s lab report and have it available if needed to verify the hemp content to any inquiring authorities.
